What's provided
HUMMINGBIRD HIDEAWAY
- Fully furnished, centrally heated and cooled home (smoke free and pet free)
- Two full bedrooms, one with King size bed and the other with one bunk bed and one single bed (bedroom 2 sleeps 3 people)
- One leather sleeper couch that boosts our maximum accommodation to 7. Please see the Rates, Terms and Specials page for more details.
- One brand new full bath, Sink, Shower, Toilet (linens and towels included)
- Fully stocked, brand new kitchen, including plates, pots and pans, silverware, coffee maker, barbecue utensils
- Full-size electric stove
- Full-size microwave oven
- Full-size refrigerator
- Dishwasher
- Deep double sink
- More hummingbirds than you can shake a stick at...we lose count when they really get feeding. We generally go through between 1 to 2 gallons of sugar water a day.
- Quiet front porch that affords the joy of listening to birds and a spring-fed creek that runs through the property
- Charcoal BBQ grill
- Beautiful creek where you can explore or simply enjoy the sounds
- TV with DVD only. We DO NOT provide any form of TV reception in the cottage. Sorry!
- Space to set up a volleyball net if you care to (provided)
- An outside fire ring for evening campfires, if desired (wood provided)
- Hollow log campfire, quite an experience, for an additional cost of $50. (NOTE: not to be confused with the campfire wood we provide for free.) This is a hollow log that we light vertically, like a chimney. You can place bamboo in it or just enjoy the experience watching it burn from within. The log and crackling/exploding bamboo are provided and lit by us. You simply show up and enjoy! Request more details when reserving your space.

- A cell phone for calls (Cellular reception can be spotty at times, Verizon is definitely spotty!)
- Any DVDs you wish to watch (good if you run into a rainy day or in the evening)
- Beach Towels for swimming (house towels are for bathroom use only)
- Slippers or house shoes (Hummingbird Hideaway), as the cottage floor is concrete and can tend to be quite cool at times.
